The Loppet Foundation's mission is "connecting people to the outdoors through experiences that grow community". Operating in partnership with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB), our Values are:

The Loppet operates out of the Trailhead building at Theodore Wirth Park and throughout Minneapolis park system. We offer numerous activities for the Twin Cities community:
- Trails & The Trailhead: We manage and groom over 30 kilometers of ski, hiking, and fat-tire biking trails. The Trailhead acts as a central basecamp for equipment rentals, an alpine learning hill, and community celebrations and gatherings.
- Youth Programs: We serves thousands of kids annually with youth summer camps, adventure programs, clinics and through Junior Loppet school partnerships.
- Adult & Community Adventures: We also offer programming for older adults, outdoor art, paddling, and environmental education.
