RCDD Engineer Location: El Paso, TX (On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Negotiable based on experience and certifications Must Have Requirements * Active BICSI RCDD certification * 5+ years of structured cabling design experience * Strong experience designing fiber and copper infrastructure * Proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio * Experience creating and maintaining technical drawings and documentation * Strong knowledge of TIA/EIA, ANSI, IEEE, and BICSI standards * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints * Experience supporting enterprise or data center environments About the Opportunity Our client is seeking a Licensed RCDD Engineer to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of structured cabling infrastructure within a large-scale, mission-critical data center environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring communications infrastructure is designed to support performance, scalability, reliability, and future growth initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join a high-visibility team supporting complex infrastructure projects while working alongside architects, network engineers, construction teams, and technology leadership. Key Responsibilities * Design and implement structured cabling systems for fiber and copper infrastructure in accordance with TIA/EIA standards and BICSI best practices * Create, review, and maintain technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and infrastructure documentation utilizing AutoCAD, Visio, and similar design platforms * Conduct site surveys and infrastructure assessments to evaluate existing environments and identify future capacity requirements * Partner with data center architects, network engineers, electrical engineers, and construction teams to ensure successful project execution * Provide technical oversight and quality assurance throughout installation and deployment activities * Coordinate with vendors and third-party contractors to ensure adherence to project requirements and industry standards * Maintain accurate documentation of all infrastructure changes and updates * Assist with project planning, material selection, budgeting, scheduling, and cost estimation efforts * Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and industry standards Required Qualifications * Active RCDD certification through BICSI in good standing * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered * Minimum 5 years of structured cabling design experience * Experience supporting enterprise, large-scale, or mission-critical infrastructure environments * Proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, and related design tools * Strong understanding of fiber optics, copper cabling systems, and structured cabling methodologies * Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting hyperscale or enterprise-level data centers * DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant) certification * PMP certification * Experience with BIM, Revit, or advanced 3D modeling software * Familiarity with wireless infrastructure design and integration What Makes This Opportunity Unique This role supports a highly visible Inside Plant and networking infrastructure team responsible for maintaining and expanding critical communications infrastructure within a cutting-edge data center environment.
