Position Summary

The Project Manager, Finance Initiatives is an exciting opportunity having responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering complex Finance transformation projects that support enterprise priorities. Working within the Finance team, you will manage multiple initiatives such as process redesign, system implementations, operating model changes, and automation efforts, partnering closely with project sponsors, functional leaders, and crossfunctional teams globally. You will ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and with strong change management to support successful adoption. You will translate Finance transformation objectives into structured project plans, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring intended business outcomes are achieved.

This position is located in Mentor, Ohio with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

What You'll Do as a Project Manager, Finance Initiatives

Project Management

  • Lead the planning, coordinating and driving of multiple projects, varying in size and scope and complexity, with average supervision/guidance and coaching
  • In partnership with the project sponsors, facilitate the definition of projects' charter, scope, goals and deliverables and manage all project artifacts and communications with team members
  • Lead key projects coordinating across STERIS cross-functional and outside resources effectively defining roles and responsibilities, key milestones, and deliverables to meet timelines and targeted results
  • Coordinate resources assigned to the effort, including defining each team member's role and responsibility
  • Effectively apply project management methodology and enforce project standards
  • Prepare and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • For each unique project, develop project plans including resources, timing and dependencies
  • Participate in webinars, training sessions, and user groups to become the STERIS expert on the project subject matter
  • Develop scorecards and metrics for each initiative to track progress and share with Finance leadership, team members and stakeholders
  • Use Lean philosophies and methodology for process improvement. Participates in, conducts or facilitates Kaizen events when appropriate and supports the action plans that result in those events.
  • Measure implemented solutions based on defined KPIs

Change Management

  • Document new processes and procedures
  • Implement process, technology or organizational changes based on determined solutions
  • Prepare and deliver all communications related to the initiative
  • Prepare comprehensive implementation plans
  • Ensure a smooth transition from recommendation to implementation including the preparation of performance metrics from which progress will be gauged
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 7+ years experience managing projects
  • Experience managing 2 - 3 major business projects from concept to implementation
  • Experience with process mapping, building RACIs and managing projects cross functionally
  • Prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while managing priorities effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Finance and/or HR project management experience
  • Experience managing projects across global teams
  • Change management certification
  • Experience with Lean principles
  • PMP certification preferred, or at minimum experience using project planning tools

Pay range for this opportunity is$92,650.00 - $109,000.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
