Location: Fully Remote Contract: 6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent About the Role Join the MXO New Verticals team as a Technical Specialist, where you'll be at the center of innovation across catalog systems, data pipelines, and workflow automation. In this high-impact role, you'll solve complex technical challenges, improve data accuracy, and help shape the tools and systems that power our operations. What You'll Do * Serve as a subject matter expert on catalog workflows, data models, and system integrations * Investigate and resolve complex issues using SQL, MODE, and Snowflake, uncovering root causes and ensuring data accuracy * Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to test, implement, and optimize new tools * Identify and implement improvements using AI and automation to enhance efficiency and data quality * Create and refine structured prompts for automation and troubleshooting; help elevate team capabilities in prompt writing * Analyze recurring issues and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve systems and processes * Support rollout of new workflows with thorough testing, validation, and documentation * Mentor team members on technical best practices, data literacy, and tool usage * Maintain a high bar for quality, accuracy, and operational excellence What You Bring * Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills * Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience querying platforms like MODE or Snowflake * Hands-on experience with automation tools, scripting (Python, Apps Script), or AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini) * A systems thinker who understands how data, tools, and workflows connect * Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly-both in writing and in live problem-solving * Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies and AI solutions * A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and enabling others * Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment Why You'll Love This Role * Fully remote flexibility * Opportunity to convert to a permanent role * Work at the intersection of data, tooling, and AI innovation * Collaborate with cross-functional teams shaping the future of operations * Build in-demand skills in automation, AI, and advanced analytics Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
