What You'll Do

As the Utility Operator, you will be responsible for providing support to the control room technicians to safely operate the PETN, acid recovery and acetone recovery process. Other duties will include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations.
  • Lives and fosters the Dyno Nobel values.
  • Perform responsibilities in production processes as directed by Shift Leader
  • Operate machinery including industrial powered equipment
  • Follow standard operating procedures for all Nitration Plant positions.
  • Participate and add value to the business through the implementation of BEx.
  • Perform multiple positions as necessary to meet production schedule and fill in when other teammates are out.
  • Train new team members.
  • Must be able to be trained in the Biazzi process, including process piping.
  • Assist maintenance when required.

What We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in manufacturing, preferred in energetic material manufacturing and/or chemical manufacturing.
  • Ability to be trained to use and understand hydrometers and moisture computer
  • Ability to wear, maintain and operate SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) during HAZWOPER incidents.
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • Must have open availability and open to flexible working hours
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
