Level 3 Data Center Technician Schedule: B Side - Thursday, Friday, Saturday & every other Wednesday (6 AM - 6 PM) Job Brief: We are seeking a skilled Level 3 Data Center Technician to join our IT team. Responsibilities include maintaining data center systems, troubleshooting issues, performing server installations, and ensuring uninterrupted network services. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, data center operations, server installations, and network updates. Experience with GPU deployment and at least 4+ years in a hyperscale environment is required. Responsibilities: * Perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks as needed, including: * Move, inspect, and install servers and switches according to wire maps. * Bundle and route cables neatly per standards; verify connectivity with network admins. * Install additional components (NIC, drives, memory) and assist with unboxing/prepping servers. * Audit servers and consumables; troubleshoot and isolate server issues. * Order and replace defective parts; update firmware; configure IP addresses and credentials. * Assist network admins with cabling, optics replacement, and hardware upgrades. * Rack and stack servers/switches for remote configuration. * Deploy and configure GPUs; perform break-fix tasks and component replacements. * Provide advanced troubleshooting and ticket resolution. * Act as liaison between team members and management; prioritize workload. * Review build documentation, validate concerns, and direct build activities. * Ensure projects align with data center standards and safety measures. * Manage multiple projects under high-pressure conditions; monitor deadlines and report status. Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. * Familiarity with office productivity tools. * Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and wear PPE when required. * Ability to stand/walk for extended periods. * 4+ years of experience in a hyperscale environment. Skills: * Data center operations, deployment, fiber optic cabling, rack & stack, troubleshooting, Cat6/Cat5, GPU installation. Additional Qualifications: * CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience. * CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience. * CCENT or equivalent experience; CCNA preferred. * Windows OS experience; MCP/MSCE preferred. * Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) preferred. * Experience with structured cabling, fiber testing, and storage devices. * Familiarity with ITIL framework and ticketing systems. * Strong understanding of network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1-3). * OSHA30 or higher certification. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
