Procurement Process Excellence - Lead Consultant

Job Description

The Lead Consultant - Procurement Process Excellence is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across Allstate's Global Sourcing and Procurement Solutions (SPS) organization. This role involves identifying process inefficiencies, conducting root cause analysis, benchmarking, re-engineering, designing and implementing optimized solutions in partnership with IT and other constituents to achieve improved operational efficiency, effectiveness and stakeholder experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization & Strategy

  • Analyze current procurement processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement standardized procurement workflows and best practices.
  • Lead process reengineering initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  • Utilize data to inform leadership of procurement effectiveness.
  • Maintain documentation and process maps for all procurement activities.

Digital Transformation & Tools

  • Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to implement and optimize the utilization of procurement technologies (e.g., SAP Ariba, Fieldglass, etc.).
  • Partner with IT team and procurement teams to automate and digitize procurement processes.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with category managers, sourcing managers, and suppliers to ensure process alignment.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to deliver training for procurement teams in combination with effective change management.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, process improvement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Fieldglass).
  • Exposure to MS-Projects, JIRA, MS-Mural, Visio, etc. is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
  • Experience in global procurement environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $70,500.00 - 124,125.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
