Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Paralegal to provide highlevel legal support and case management for M&T Bank Corporation and its affiliates. In this role, you will work closely with attorneys, business units, and external partners to ensure legal accuracy, compliance, and effective resolution of complex matters. Key Responsibilities * Conduct advanced legal research, review, and interpret legal documents for accuracy, compliance, and risk assessment * Serve as liaison between attorneys, internal departments, and external clients to coordinate responses and ensure timely resolution of legal issues * Review and assess bank forms in line with changes in laws, regulations, and internal policies * Investigate, manage, and document complex legal complaints and matters referred to Counsel's Office * Prepare concise research summaries, recommendations, and reports for attorney review * Interview clients and witnesses to gather relevant case facts * Oversee sensitive projects involving litigation, compliance, regulatory matters, and product issues * Supervise daytoday activities of Associate Paralegal or Paralegal staff as needed * Ensure adherence to compliance, operational risk controls, and internal control standards Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of paralegal experience; or a combined minimum of 9 years higher education/work experience with at least 5 years as a paralegal * Strong knowledge of investment document types (e.g., Limited Partnership Agreements) * Demonstrated supervisory or teamlead experience * Exceptional research, analytical, and written communication skills Preferred Skills * Familiarity with banking regulations and financial services industry practices * Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.27 - $48.79/hr.
