Job Title: Centralized Support Specialist I
Job Description As an inbound healthcare contact center representative, you will manage phone and message inquiries from patients and those involved in their care, navigating the complexities of a healthcare system. Your role will include addressing needs related to insurance, billing inquiries, and appointment management. You will become comfortable navigating various healthcare aspects such as medical records, authorizations, referrals, and coordinating care among care partners like pharmacies, testing laboratories, specialists, and insurance providers. Responsibilities * Collaborate with providers and operations team members to complete urgent tasks. * Ensure a positive virtual experience using our technology suite, including Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and the Electronic Medical Record System 1Life. * Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem solving, and supporting in-office providers with ad hoc requests. Essential Skills * Minimum 1 year of high-volume contact center experience and an additional year of direct customer service experience. * Alternatively, 2 years of high-touch, patient-facing healthcare service roles within the last 4 years. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including impeccable phone manners. * Proficiency in multitasking with computers and phones while navigating multiple software systems simultaneously. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Scheduling appointments, patient registration, patient access. * Knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing, medical claims, insurance verification. * Experience with medical records, prior authorization, and electronic medical records. Work Environment This role involves handling high-volume inbound calls and tasking between calls, focusing on customer service and HIPPA compliance. Training is classroom style with a strict 0 tolerance policy for attendance during the first 5 weeks. This position requires 100% in-office presence, with shifts available between 6am-6pm and a requirement to work at least one weekend day. Shift bids will determine your schedule, and training takes place Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, for five full weeks. A shift differential applies for hours worked Monday through Friday from 6pm - 7am and all day Saturday and Sunday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
