Job Summary

Cabot Properties is seeking a motivated IT Intern to support data initiatives and provide day-to-day assistance for financial systems. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise systems, data workflows, and real-world business operations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The intern will work closely with IT, Finance, and Data stakeholders to help maintain system reliability, support reporting and analytics efforts, and improve data quality and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Systems Support



  • Provide day-to-day support for financial and accounting systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting, or reporting tools).
  • Assist with user access management, system configurations, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Help troubleshoot basic system issues and escalate more complex problems as needed.
  • Support system testing during upgrades, enhancements, or new implementations.



IT & Operational Support



  • Respond to and help resolve IT support requests related to data and financial applications.
  • Assist with documentation, training materials, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and system usage.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.


Data & Analytics Support



  • Assist with data collection, validation, and preparation for reporting and analysis.
  • Support ongoing data projects, including dashboards, data integrations, and process improvements.
  • Help document data sources, workflows, and business logic.
  • Perform basic data analysis and quality checks to identify inconsistencies or errors.



Qualifications & Experience



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of databases, data structures, or reporting tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Exposure to financial systems or ERP platforms (e.g., Yardi, MRI, NetSuite, or similar) (preferred).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) (preferred).
  • Basic scripting or programming experience (Python, or VBA) (preferred).
  • Strong interest in data, systems, and business process improvement (preferred).



Work Environment & Travel



  • Internship conducted primarily in a professional office environment.
  • Frequent use of computers and digital communication platforms.
  • Limited travel may be required for property site visits or team meetings.
