Dish Attendant - Full-Time

Washington College is seeking a full-time Dish Attendant to join our Dining Services team.

SUMMARY: Responsible for the washing, restocking of all dish and utensils. Responsible for the cleaning up of the Main Dining Room after breakfast and lunch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Wash and sanitize hands before beginning to work and in rest room after each use.
• Properly wear hair net or WC hat and a clean uniform.
• Maintain good personal hygiene.
• Report all accidents or injuries immediately to the supervisor.
• Responsible for the stacking, soaking of all dish items before washing. Washing all dishes according to procedure and restock as needed.
• Responsible for cleaning the Main Dining Room by removing all dishes, washing the tables and vacuuming the floor.
• Responsible for cleaning and restocking the restrooms.
• Responsible for restocking beverages when needed.
• Clean and sanitize the dish machine after each shift.
• Check out with the supervisor at the end of each shift.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs related duties incidental to the work described herein or as may be assigned.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities.
• Well organized.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

• Accountable to the Meal Plan Supervisor for all phases of his or her activities.
• Advises, consults and coordinates with Physical Plant regarding facilities-related matters.

Salary: $15.50 per hour
