Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Pay: Up to $30/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist for a temporary opportunity in Sterling Heights, MI. This position is ideal for purchasing, procurement, supply chain, and buyer professionals with experience managing vendor relationships, sourcing materials and services, and supporting manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for indirect materials and services
• Analyze material requirements and purchasing needs using Oracle and MRP systems
• Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs to suppliers
• Evaluate supplier quotes, pricing, and proposals
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to meet business objectives
• Create, administer, and track purchase orders
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and compliance requirements
• Coordinate supplier onboarding and confidentiality agreements
• Support source selection activities and vendor management initiatives
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve purchasing, quality, design, and payment issues
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with purchasing policies
• Participate in supplier meetings, program reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
• Travel up to 10% as needed

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or buyer experience
• Experience with Oracle, MRP, purchasing systems, or ERP software preferred
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
• Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
