Medical Strategy Lead Clinical Advisor

We are looking for a strategic, scientifically driven, and collaborative Medical Strategy Lead, Clinical Advisor to join our Medical Neurology, Epilepsy & Rare Syndromes team, preferably based in our Atlanta, GA office. This position can be remotely based.

This highly visible role will serve as a trusted clinical advisor, providing deep expertise in epilepsy, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs), rare syndromes, REMS programs, and future pipeline assets.

About the Role

As a key member of the medical organization, you will provide specialized clinical, scientific, medical, and strategic expertise to support UCB's epilepsy and rare syndrome portfolio. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to shape medical strategy, generate insights, support evidence development, and advance patient care through non-promotional scientific engagement.

This role combines deep clinical expertise with strategic influence and offers the opportunity to impact current and future therapies for patients living with rare and complex neurological disorders.

You will also represent UCB at major scientific congresses, medical advisory activities, and strategic engagements with leading institutions and experts.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a trusted clinical advisor supporting epilepsy and rare syndrome strategies.
• Engage key healthcare professionals to gather insights and identify unmet needs.
• Provide compliant, non-promotional scientific education and consultation.
• Support evidence generation and real-world research initiatives.
• Guide REMS-related clinical discussions and stakeholder education.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve patient and healthcare provider experiences.
• Monitor scientific advances and competitive developments in epilepsy and neurology.
• Provide medical expertise for future assets and innovation opportunities.

Interested? For This Role We're Looking for the Following Education, Experience and Skills

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) or equivalent medical degree.
• Board Certification in Neurology.
• Minimum of 15 years of recent clinical practice experience as a neurologist or epileptologist.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board Certification in Epilepsy.
• Deep clinical expertise in epilepsy, developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs), and rare neurological syndromes.
• Strong ability to interpret, synthesize, and communicate complex scientific and clinical information.
• Demonstrated capability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, REMS requirements, and compliant medical engagement practices.
• Experience supporting medical strategy, evidence generation, or clinical development initiatives.
• Established relationships within academic neurology and epilepsy communities.
• Experience engaging cross-functional teams to drive strategic medical objectives.
• Demonstrated expertise in rare epilepsy syndromes including Dravet Syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome.
• Willingness to travel domestically, including frequent travel to Atlanta if not based locally.

This position's reasonably anticipated salary range is $213,000-$280,000 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
