POSITION OVERVIEW

TheWarehouse Facilitator is responsible for leading and coordinating daily distribution center operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant receipt, storage, processing, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role provides operational, administrative, andfinancialoversight for the Redwood Distribution Center.In partnership with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations teams, the Warehouse Facilitator drives inventory accuracy, optimizes material flow, enhances shipping performance, and supports cost-effective operations while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction. This position serves as a key leader in promoting a culture of safety, continuous improvement, accountability, and employee development while ensuring compliance with all applicable domestic and international shipping regulations.

This role operates primarily on a standard day-shift schedule (Monday through Friday); however, flexibility is required to support business demands and operational priorities. The Warehouse Facilitator is also expected to provide on-call support as needed to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the plant and distribution center.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

General Responsibilities

• Perform all duties and special assignments as directed by the Operations Manager.

• Support operational excellence through effective planning, communication, and execution of distribution center activities.

• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS), Responsible Care, and company policies and procedures.

• Ensure associates follow all safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Verify appropriate safety measures are followed when handling hazardous materials.

• Ensure proper use of fall protection equipment when associates perform elevated work.

• Conduct and support safety audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective actions.

• Participate in safety committees, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure trailers and equipment are inspected prior to use and that lockout/tagout and wheel chocking requirements are followed.

• Establish and maintain operational practices that minimize environmental impact.

• Track and complete safety-related action items, safety concerns, spills, and incident investigations.

• Maintain a working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) principles.

• Complete all required safety training and ensure team compliance with training requirements.

Maintenance & Equipment Management

• Develop and maintain inspection and preventive maintenance procedures for distribution center equipment and facilities.

• Ensure associatescomplete daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance checks.

• Coordinate maintenance activities for lift trucks, trailers, tankers, and other operational equipment.

• Monitor equipment condition and partner with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.

Budget & Cost Control

• Monitor distribution center performance and operating costs to ensure financial objectives are achieved.

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize operational efficiency.

• Managedepartment supply purchases within approved budget guidelines.

Distribution Center Operations

• Oversee the safe and accurate receipt, storage, transfer, processing, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods.

• Manage the Authorization for Returned Goods (ARG) process, including investigation, disposition, and resolution of returned materials.

• Develop and maintain procedures that drive shipping accuracy and prevent shipment errors.

• Review, update, and improve distribution center procedures to ensure alignment with current processes and best practices.

• Establish performance metrics and process controls to support operational goals and customer requirements.

• Optimize utilization of labor, equipment, storage space, and inventory.

• Partner with Supply Chain to develop effective storage strategies for hazardous and specialty materials.

• Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

• Ensure damaged materials are identified and prevented from shipment.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, service, and cost reduction.

• Conduct physical inventories and cyclecountswhile maintaining inventory accuracy.

• Manage returned, obsolete, and out-of-flow materials and drive action plans for resolution.

• Process approved waste and inventory adjustment requests.

• Serve as a trained backup for Shipping Administration functions.

• Support facility layout, workflow, and process improvements to enhance distribution center performance.

Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Distribution Center team through coaching, training, performance management, and employee engagement.

• Maintain a positive work environment that promotes high morale, teamwork, and accountability.

• Audit distribution center operations to ensure compliance with established procedures, safety expectations, and housekeeping standards.

• Maintain accurate records related to the receipt, transfer, storage, and shipment of materials.

• Ensure shipping documentation complies with all federal, state, and international regulations governing hazardous materials transportation.

• Support environmental objectives and sustainability initiatives.

• Complete required company and plant educational and training programs.

• Ensure team members maintain required certifications and demonstrate proficiency in job-related skills per plant training requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, distribution center operations, logistics, or supply chain activities preferred.

• Working knowledge of inventory control, material handling, and shipping processes.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with computer systems and warehouse management tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.

• Experience leading teams in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment.

• Knowledge of hazardous material shipping regulations and compliance requirements.

• Continuous improvement experience, including Lean, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.

• Certification and working knowledge of hazardous materials transportation and shipping regulations(DOT, IATA, & IMDG)
