Responsibilities:

While reporting to the Regional Business Director the Neurology Sales Specialist is responsible for executing the strategic territory plan by delivering proficient, compliant, and clinically compelling messaging to a targeted list of current and prospective customers. Within the assigned geographical territory, the specialist will strategically utilize approved promotional, clinical, and marketing resources tailored to specific audiences to drive market share growth and product adoption. Target customers include, but are not limited to, physicians, specialized healthcare providers (HCPs), mid-level practitioners, infusion center staff, and clinic administrative personnel. Additionally, the Neurology Sales Specialist will:

  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with targeted healthcare providers, specialized clinics, and health systems across the assigned geography to expand product reach and optimize patient access.
  • Identify key influencers and opinion leaders (KOLs), maintaining rigorous account coverage and achieving designated customer interaction expectations, call frequency targets, and reach metrics with a focus on priority accounts.
  • Address both clinical and business-oriented needs of healthcare professionals by engaging in consultative, evidence-based dialogue covering disease state education, therapeutic differentiation, and practice workflow considerations.
  • Develop and execute data-driven territory plans, analyzing sales analytics, prescribing trends, and competitive dynamics to consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual territory sales goals.
  • Navigate specialty distribution channels and clinical workflows, collaborating effectively with practice managers, specialty pharmacies, and office staff to support seamless product administration and access.
  • Ensure full compliance and administrative excellence, accurately maintaining CRM records, customer call reports, and sample tracking in accordance with corporate policies and industry regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Pharmaceutical Sales Experience: 5+ years of documented pharmaceutical sales experience required, with a history of consistent performance against territory quotas.
  • Therapeutic Focus: 3+ years of direct sales experience in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) required, with deep familiarity with the MS clinical landscape and patient journey.
  • Product Modality: Biosimilars and/or infusion therapy sales experience required, including an understanding of buy-and-bill dynamics, specialty pharmacy networks, and infusion clinic operations.
  • Territory & Specialist Network: Documented experience calling on neurologists and neurology center personnel within the designated territory geography required.
  • Performance Track Record: Proven history of sales excellence, top-tier performance rankings, and quota attainment.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, consultative selling ability, business analytics proficiency, and strategic account management capabilities.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $165,000 to $185,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
