DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on supporting the admissions process through accurate data entry, clear communication, and organized recordkeeping. The role centers on helping residents and families navigate important steps with confidence and care.
As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Admissions Support: Complete data entry, prepare paperwork, and help schedule admission activities
- Record Management: Maintain electronic and paper files, scan documents, and organize information for the department
- Resident Assistance: Guide residents and families through forms and provide helpful information about the admissions process
- Communication Tasks: Answer phones, send messages, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with multiple departments
- Office Operations: Order supplies, prepare documents, make copies, and support daily administrative needs

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in office work, such as typing, data entry, filing, and proofreading
- Experience performing clerical work
- Experience working with Microsoft Office, SAP, and SRM
- Experience working in a long-term care or large healthcare facility
- Experience working with software applications to create and maintain spreadsheets, calendars, etc.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
