Description

* Manage and organize digital radiology images, studies, and related patient records. * Import, export, archive, retrieve, and distribute radiology images using PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging systems. * Ensure accurate patient identification, study matching, indexing, and documentation. * Retrieve prior imaging studies for radiologists and clinical departments as requested. * Upload outside imaging studies from CDs, electronic transfers, cloud platforms, or other media into the appropriate patient record. * Verify image quality, completeness, and correct association with the patient and examination. * Assist with resolving duplicate, missing, incorrectly indexed, or inaccessible imaging studies. * Maintain accurate imaging archives and assist with retention and disposal procedures according to organizational policies. * Coordinate the transfer of images to outside facilities, referring providers, patients, and other authorized parties. * Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable privacy and security requirements. * Troubleshoot routine PACS and image-management issues and escalate technical problems to IT or imaging-system support when necessary. * Communicate effectively with radiologists, technologists, physicians, medical records staff, IT personnel, and patients. * Maintain documentation and follow established departmental procedures and quality-control standards. * Assist with audits, system upgrades, data migration, and other radiology information-management projects. ANSWER BUSY PHONES, EMAILS, FAX MACHINE , PROCESS OUTSIDE IMAGES AT LEAST 100 PER DAY

Salary Range: $31.88 - 45.66/hr

Qualifications

preferred. * Previous experience in radiology, medical records, health information management, imaging services, or a related healthcare environment preferred. * Familiarity with PACS, DICOM, RIS, and electronic medical record systems preferred. * Strong computer and data-entry skills. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately. * Strong communication and customer-service skills. * Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with radiology imaging systems or image archives. * Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology terminology. * Familiarity with HIPAA, DICOM standards, and healthcare information-management practices. * Experience troubleshooting basic PACS/image-transfer issues. Physical and Work Requirements * Ability to work for extended periods at a computer workstation. * Ability to handle and organize imaging media and related records. * Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and manage multiple requests with accuracy and appropriate prioritization.
