What is the role about? At Endress+Hauser, we believe the best learning happens through real-world experience. Since 2005, our internship program has provided students with meaningful opportunities to contribute to business initiatives while developing technical and professional skills. As an Engineering Intern, you'll spend 12 weeks working on a project that addresses a real business need. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals, gain exposure to our products and operations, and build a network across the organization. Every internship experience is unique because projects are selected based on business priorities at the time of hire. What tasks will you perform?
- Work full-time on a meaningful business project with measurable impact.
- Receive guidance, coaching, and feedback from experienced mentors.
- Develop technical, professional, and leadership skills through structured development opportunities.
- Build relationships with peers, leaders, and subject matter experts across the organization.
- Present your work and recommendations to business leaders at the conclusion of your internship.
- Gain exposure to a global leader in industrial process automation and measurement technology.
- Internship projects are assigned based on business needs, project availability, and student interests.
Engineering Interns may have projects within the following areas:
- Customer Excellence: Works with customers and sales teams to identify the right products and solutions. This area combines engineering, problem-solving, and communication.
- Manufacturing and Operations: Builds, tests, improves, and delivers products to customers while focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Projects & Solutions: Creates customized solutions when a standard product does not fully meet a customer's needs. This may include products, software, and engineering support.
- Research & Development: Designs, tests, and improves products and technology for future customer needs.
- Service: Supports customers by troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment to keep it working properly.
- Project Management: Coordinates tasks, timelines, and communication to keep projects organized and on track.
- InfoServe: Supports the technology, systems, and digital tools employees use to work efficiently.
Previous engineering intern projects:
- STEM Education Instrumentation Cart: Designed and constructed a fully functional, classroom-ready instrumentation cart for use in STEM education, providing hands-on learning experiences and promoting practical understanding of scientific principles.
- Excel-Based Budget Proposal Tool: Developed an intuitive, Excel-based tool to streamline the creation of budget proposals for supercritical CO2 metering skids, enabling customers to enhance their carbon capture efficiency and make informed financial decisions.
- Testing Wall Design for New Automation Equipment: Designed a comprehensive testing wall integrating current and advanced automation equipment to facilitate rigorous testing and validation of new technologies.
What do we expect from you? You will be (required):
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
