We are currently seeking a Payments & eCommerce Lead for our Treasury Management Team.The location for this position is flexible, and can be located anywhere within the U.S.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The Payments & eCommerce Lead is responsible for the strategy, governance, financial performance, and operational oversight of the organization's incoming and outgoing payment ecosystem. This role establishes and implements policies, procedures, controls, governance frameworks, and performance standards that support the strategic direction of Payment/Treasury deliverables that are aligned with the business unit and corporate initiatives and objectives. Responsible for such activities as staff planning, financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and other related operational activities; manages payment-related budgets, strategic initiatives, vendor relationships, and operational priorities. Establishes and updates applicable systems and procedures. May conduct briefings for Senior Leadership and top management of other functional units.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.

PAY INFORMATION: The salary range for this position is $140,000- $150,000.This position is not eligible for relocation.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD

  • Define and execute the roadmap for payment acceptance and disbursement capabilities, including cards, ACH, digital wallets, alternative payment methods, and emerging payment rails.

  • Establish and ensure payment operations, reporting procedures, controls, and standards support organizational objectives and comply with applicable regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.

  • Lead financial analysis, business case development, and reporting related to payment performance, costs, settlement, fraud, and vendor economics.

  • Develop and manage payment-related planning, budgets, reporting, and operational plans.

  • Direct employees engaged in payment operations and reporting.

  • Own relationships with payment processors, gateways, fraud providers, and disbursement vendors, including vendor selection, contracting, performance management, and issue resolution.

  • Direct initiatives to improve payment performance, operational efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Partner with Treasury, Finance, Information Security, Legal, Technology, and Line of Business stakeholders to support payment strategy, controls, and operations.

  • Review and prepare data analyses related to operations, business performance, and business opportunities for senior leadership.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and development support to staff, volunteers, and cross-functional teams.

  • Lead RFP for services which involve e-commerce and related services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field required. MBA or other relevant certification preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. MBA is preferred.

Experience leading payment strategy, platform ownership, financial analysis, vendor management, and process improvement initiatives.

Management Experience: 5 years of management experience.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in planning and overseeing analytical programs and activities.

  • Ability to determine client and customer requirements and translate requirements into organizational plans, exercise sound judgement in complex situations with competing interests, apply financial acumen to all initiatives, and adapt to constantly changing situations with flexible and creative approaches.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable.

  • Ability to work on and lead a team.

  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to develop policies, operating models, and performance standards.

  • Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, payment technologies, settlement processes, fraud controls, and vendor management.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.

Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the Red Cross system.

Physical Requirements

Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
