Job Summary:

The Career Advisor will serve as a representative and ambassador of Lakeview Center, a behavioral health nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities. This position will focus on connecting with schools, colleges, universities, career centers, and community organizations to educate students and prospective professionals about rewarding career opportunities in behavioral health and nonprofit services.

The Career Advisor will develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, participate in career fairs and recruitment events, deliver engaging presentations, and promote career pathways within the organization. The position will combine recruiting, marketing, public speaking, education, and community outreach to help build a strong pipeline of qualified and mission-driven candidates.

Role Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Health, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in recruiting, career advising, education, community outreach, marketing, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience presenting to groups and communicating with students, educators, and community partners is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple relationships and projects, and meet recruitment/outreach goals.
  • Comfortable traveling to schools, colleges, universities, career fairs, and community events.
  • Passion for behavioral health, nonprofit services, community impact, and helping individuals build meaningful careers.
  • Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $23.58 - $25.42 an hour, salary is based on experience.
