High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. |
| Department Required Skills |
- Basic understanding of program procedures, rules, log sheets, desktop guides, and office routines.
- Ability to use established filing systems and software to compile, organize, and review data (check logs, signature sheets, spreadsheets) with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Competency operating standard office equipment and systems, including multi-line phone systems, MyPack Portal, Google Sheets, email inboxes, safe keypads, and shared drives.
- Ability to identify standard problems with established precedents and apply decision rules (e.g., mail routing, check releases) while properly escalating non-standard situations.
- Clear communication using established guidelines to greet visitors, answer phones, and explain direct-deposit or tax-assessment procedures while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Ability to accurately document log entries and draft routine emails/memos using proper grammar, formatting, and program terminology.
