A Taste of What You'll Do

Bring your drafting expertise and curiosity to GALLO as a CAD Designer. In this role, you will transform engineering concepts into clear, accurate design drawings and specifications that support safe, reliable, and effective operations. Working under general supervision, you will use computer-aided drafting and design software to create detailed layouts, multi-view drawings, and related documentation from engineering sketches, design proposals, standards, and technical data.

You will evaluate drawings and specifications to identify key design considerations such as part size, shape, fit, arrangement, dimensions, and material requirements. Your work will include preparing preliminary layouts, performing calculations for angles, weights, dimensions, compression, and other design needs, and refining designs as project requirements evolve. You will also compile and interpret test data to understand how designs perform across a range of factors, making thoughtful adjustments that improve quality and functionality. This position offers opportunities to build technical capability through progressively more advanced assignments, practical problem-solving, and collaboration with engineering partners. You will independently resolve most routine questions while recognizing when more complex issues require additional expertise. You may also help welcome, orient, and train newer team members by sharing knowledge and supporting a positive, respectful learning environment.

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certification.
• 2 years CAD experience.
• Auto-CAD Drawing software experience.
• Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

• University or technical college graduate.
• Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Experience speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
• Preferred computer skills include: basic MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
• Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Skilled in applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Applies common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Experience dealing with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Applies some advanced skills to the position. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
• Learns the fundamental skills of design.

The Fine Print

• The Company does not sponsor for employment-based visas for this position now or in the future.
• We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
