Encapsys (www.encapsys.com),now a part of Milliken & Company (www.milliken.com) is looking tohire studentinternandco-ops for the 2027calendar year to join our team in Appleton, WI. This is a competitivelypaidpositionbeing offeredto students ina ChemicalEngineering, Material Science/Engineering,Biology/Microbiology,or Chemistry program.

Encapsys operates in the specialty chemicals industry.Holding over 75 encapsulation patents, Encapsys is a global leader in encapsulation technologies within twoprimary business segments - Fragrance and Agriculture.Encapsys operates highly scalable encapsulation processes that deliver superior products.

Encapsys takes pride in providingstudentswith opportunities to build strong resumes through matching individual interests withavailable projects.Encapsys provides projects witha high levelof responsibility thathasstrong impacts on the bottom line.Studentswill work on both collaborative and independent projects in conjunction with the engineer/scientist project leaders. Eachstudentisassigneda mentor to provide guidance through the processes of training, developing, and contributing.

Research and developmentplaysa vital role in our position as a leader in theencapsulation market.Ongoing investment in R&D will continue to enable us to develop core competencies in encapsulation processes and applications and grow our business with new and existingcustomers.

The intern should expect to work about12 - 20hours per week during the academic year and full-time during school breaks and throughout the summer.

Typical job duties for an R&D co-op/interninclude:

  • Designing, planning,conductingand analyzing lab experiments

  • Partnering with engineers/scientists onLab,pilotor production experimental trials

  • Producing written summary reports and presentations

  • Evaluating trial products

  • Current projects include:

    • New product developments
    • Product line extensions
    • Cost and quality improvement projects
    • Prototype development
    • New product scale-ups

Education, experience and qualifications:

  • Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S.orM.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in any of the following programs,rising Juniors and Seniors preferred:

    • Chemical Engineering

    • Chemistry

    • Biochemistry

    • Biology / Microbiology

    • Material Science/Engineering

  • Other supporting competencies include:

    • Apply engineering and scientific principles to projects and designs

    • Drive for resultsand self-motivated

    • Work collaboratively within team environmentand independently

    • Ability to work independently on projectsand manage time across multiple tasks

    • Communicate effectively

    • Analyze problems/issuesand recommend potential solutions

    • Foster collaboration

    • Manage project execution

    • Use sound judgment
