Description

A Senior Litigation Specialist is responsible for the critical review of foreclosure/bankruptcy/conveyance documents and personally attesting to their 100% accuracy. Specialists must abide by all notary requirements and confidently testify to the accuracy of signed documents and general process if called as a witness or deposed. Specialists must also understand state requirements, local concerns, historical rulings by a judge/court, and loan servicing requirements so they can service escalated/litigated loans.

Additional duties include:



  • Developing and maintaining relationships with attorney firm representatives, and in-house legal
  • Negotiating settlement agreements
  • Providing attorney/contact with any/all information requested
  • Coordinating possible resolutions with Loss Mitigation
  • Creating and providing reporting/updates on all escalated loans
  • Providing feedback and training to Initial Review team regarding errors, new requirements, etc.
  • Attending trials/hearings as a corporate representative
  • Attending depositions as an individual (if subpoena is served) and/or as a corporate representative
  • Maintaining confidentiality and exercise discretion in performing daily duties
  • Providing fee approval based on knowledge of process/fee schedules
  • Escalating trends/concerns/recommendations to appropriate parties
  • Providing coverage for all steps in the document receipt/review/correction/execution/shipment process when necessary


**This position is on-site in Oklahoma City, with no opportunity for remote work.

Position Requirements

Candidates must possess 1-3 years of proven success in an office environment and demonstrate articulate and professional communication skills to be considered. Previous Foreclosure, Bankruptcy or Litigation experience preferred.

To serve as a corporate witness, candidates must be able to travel (10-20%, including weekends & holidays) and work more than 40 hours/week as needed.

  • Comfortable providing direction/recommendations to team members & management
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers and other business units
  • General knowledge of mortgage, foreclosure, and bankruptcy documents as well as default processing is a plus, but is not required
  • Comfortable providing direction/recommendations to team members & management
