Experienced Eyelet Toolmaker Job description: The Platt Brothers & Company, a family owned business since 1797 is a major source for zinc, zinc alloy and other non-ferrous products along with intricate custom eyelet and deep drawn stamping capabilities. We are currently seeking an Experienced Eyelet Toolmaker who is capable of making and developing new tooling as well as maintaining existing jobs on all sizes of Waterbury Farrel, Baird and Platarg Presses. Core Responsibilities: Build and develop, with limited supervision, new deep draw transfer press tooling. Maintain, and in some cases, improve existing transfer press tools. Mentor, teach, and train less skilled and apprentice toolmakers. Work directly with engineering on new jobs and improving existing jobs. Qualifications: Good working knowledge and experience using all tool room equipment. General knowledge of heat-treating tool steels. General knowledge of measuring instruments and precision optical measuring equipment. Extensive troubleshooting and development skills. Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Deep Draw Eyelet Toolmaker We offer a competitive hourly rate based on experience.
