Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse:Medical-Surgical-Telemetry unit. Unit Overview: 6B is a23-bedpost interventional telemetry unit. Staff receive specialized training for post catheterization, femoralsheaths,andTikosynadministration. Medical and post-procedural patients are cared for on this unit in addition to complex GI Oncology surgical post-op patients and inpatients needing chemotherapy and telemetry. As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/hertime (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provisionof nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities;provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning asapplicable, etc.
