Essential Functions

Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
Maintain patient and non-patient areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.
Handle linen distribution and collection, including changing bed linens, replenishing towels, and sorting soiled linens for laundry services.
Dispose of trash, recyclables, and regulated waste in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
Monitor inventory levels and restock linens, toiletries, cleaning products, and other departmental supplies.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, occupancy status, maintenance requests, and other required documentation.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and environmental services protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Safely handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to appropriate personnel.
Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff while supporting a positive healthcare environment.

Experience
Customer Service Experience 1-2 years preferred or Housekeeping Experience 0-1 year preferred

- Familiarity with different cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of the assigned areas.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Customer service skills to ensure guest/patient satisfaction.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
- Trustworthiness and a strong work ethic to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
