Salary/Grade: EXS/6

Target hiring range for this position will be between $56,780 - $73,200. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.


Job Summary:

Utilizes multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets from a variety of sources and interprets results using various techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Assists in the design, development and implementation of business solutions partnering with clients to identify analytical requirements. Compiles reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods.

Specific Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Partners with clients to define requirements based on business objectives.
  • Administration
  • Develop standardized templates, policies, and procedures for internal and external reporting.
  • Designs and prepares documentation for qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

Development

  • Completes a variety of statistical analyses using appropriate data and software
  • Merges data from multiple sources in preparation for analysis.
  • Interprets results of analyses for use in reports and presentations

Performance

  • Completes data cleaning and organizes data files for analysis.
  • Reviews data and Identifies quality issues
  • Data Collection:
  • Operate MR scanner f when MR tech not available
  • Be available for weekend and early evening studies

Supervises

  • Trains and supervises subordinate staff and students

Miscellaneous

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree from an accredited college or university in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Neuroscience, Computer Science, Psychology, or related;

  • 2+ years of experience in MR imaging research

Infrastructure

  • Box Collaborative Storage

  • High Performance Computing (HPC)

  • Linux Operating System

  • Mac OS X Operating System

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook)

Programming Languages and Frameworks

  • Python

  • Shell Scripting

Project

  • Code documentation

  • collaboration and teamwork

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

  • Experience with coding and/or shell scripting

  • Knowledge of MRI physics

  • Excellent management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in computer science, neuroscience, psychology, biomedical engineering or related field

  • Exposure to neuroimaging data analysis software suites

  • Knowledge of scanner operation and subject setup

Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)

  • Experience using Freesurfer, FSL, AFNI, SPM or other neuroimaging platforms
  • Experience with data analysis/data visualization using R, SPSS, Tableau or other statistical packages
  • Proficient in coding using Shell or Bash script, Python or other scripting languages
