Responsibilities Position Overview The Civil Affairs (CA) Specialist (Journeyman) provides research, analysis, planning, and program support for Special Operations Forces (SOF) Civil Affairs activities within Operations in the Information Environment (OIE). This role supports the development, integration, and assessment of Civil Affairs capabilities, programs, and force employment strategies across U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Geographic Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, and other Department of Defense stakeholders. The successful candidate will conduct operational and strategic analysis, support force development initiatives, and assist with the planning and execution of Civil Affairs programs that align with national defense and operational objectives. Key Responsibilities Conduct research and analysis to support Civil Affairs programs and Operations in the Information Environment mission sets.

Target Salary Range $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
