Job Title: Phlebotomist I (Floater)

Location: Northern Virginia (Float Position)

Training Location: 14280 Sullyfield Circle, Chantilly, VA

Duration: (3 Months, Contract to Possible Hire)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1st Shift)

Work Arrangement: Onsite (Float Position)


Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Phlebotomist I (Floater) to support multiple Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and physician offices throughout Northern Virginia. This role requires daily travel to different locations based on business needs. The ideal candidate will have strong venipuncture skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and reliable transportation.


Responsibilities


  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection on patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics.



  • Collect a minimum of 25 blood draws per day while maintaining quality and patient safety.



  • Travel between Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and physician offices as assigned.



  • Verify patient information and accurately label specimens.



  • Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.



  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines.



  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a positive patient experience.



  • Work independently as well as collaboratively with healthcare teams.




Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED required.



  • Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience.



  • Phlebotomy certification required.



  • Strong venipuncture and specimen collection skills.



  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.



  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different work locations.



  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for daily travel.




Preferred Experience


  • Experience working in Patient Service Centers or physician office settings.



  • Comfortable drawing blood from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric patients.




Training


  • 1 week of classroom training.



  • 1 week of field training.




Vaccination Requirements


  • COVID-19 vaccination required.



  • Flu vaccination required.




Important Notes


  • This is a float position, requiring travel throughout Northern Virginia.



  • Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel daily.



  • Candidates who are unable to travel or do not have a personal vehicle will not be considered.



  • Contract duration is 3 months with the possibility of extension or permanent hire based on performance and business needs.
