Responsibilities
Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital isseekinga creative, energetic, and patient-centered Therapeutic Group Facilitator/Recreation Therapist to join our supportive Inpatient team in a PerDiem/PRN role. In this rewarding role, you'll help patients build coping skills, increase emotional awareness, strengthen healthy relationships, and move toward successful recovery by facilitating engaging therapeutic, recreational, wellness, and psychoeducational groups. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys bringing creativity into the healing process and thinking outside the box. Within established clinical guidelines, you'll have the freedom to design and lead groups using a variety of approaches, including art, music, movement, mindfulness, experiential activities, education, processing, and other innovative therapeutic modalities. We are looking for someone who is passionate about creating meaningful patient experiences, inspiring growth, and making a positive impact through dynamic and engaging group programming. What You'll Do * Participate as part of a team of specialists to provide groups that can range from art, yoga, movement, wellness, psychoeducation, process groups, or any other topics oractivitiesthat enrich the patient experience andfacilitatewellness. * Facilitate therapeutic, wellness, and psychoeducational groups on assigned inpatient units. * Lead engaging activities that promote coping skills, holistic wellness, communication, and recovery. * Utilize creative approaches such as art, movement, mindfulness, education, and group discussion. * Encourage patient participation whilemaintaininga safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment. * Monitor patient progress, complete assessments, andmaintaintimely,accuratedocumentation. * Adapt groupmaterial to the needs of the present population andpresentingissues. * Complete assessments of patient needs andtimelydocumentation of group participation and patient responsein accordance withfacility standards and regulatory requirements. Available Shifts * We are looking toadd to ourdynamic pool of multi-talented facilitatorsand are searching for facilitators that can commit to at least one day per week for ongoing shifts with opportunity for more, depending on your availability. * You will be provided with the opportunity to schedule regular, recurring shifts as well as the opportunity to pick upadditionalshifts asavailable. * Shiftscan beavailable 7 Days per week from 9am to 7pm. * This isa great opportunityforPractitionerslooking to add a stable revenue stream to Private Practice work, or for those looking to supplement income. Qualifications Education: Applicable certification in modality of choice. ThosefacilitatingPsychoeducational/Process groups must have aMaster's Degreein a field related to Behavioral Health. Experience: Experiencefacilitatingtherapeutic groups, experience with any variety of recreational, activity-based, psychoeducation, or process group experience.Experience working in Behavioral Health.
