Electronic Security Coord

Enterprise Support Services function is to provide complete operations and maintenance service support so that our physical facilities (buildings, equipment, machinery, systems and grounds) may operate at an optimum. Optimization of our facilities will promote and ensure safe, clean, and compatible working conditions for employees. Enterprise Support Services activities include building maintenance and repair, office space planning and associated move coordination, leasing administration (building/property), construction project management and Physical Security. This area also assists with corporate office moves, reconfiguration projects for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and affiliate companies.

The Electronic Security Coordinator provides direction and oversight on all aspects of electronic security activities. This includes, but is not limited to, access control, closed-circuit television (CCTV), door position switches intrusion detection and the related computer systems and servers. The incumbent plans, coordinates and manages system integration for the installation of access control, CCTV and other security systems throughout the enterprise. The incumbent should possess extensive knowledge of theory, application and use of electronic security systems, establish and follow preventative maintenance schedules. The incumbent is to maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external partners and to development reporting tools for use by Auditors and other departments within the Company.

• High School Diploma
• Software House Basic Installer/Maintainer Certification, Software House Advance Installer/Maintainer Certification, and/or Avigilon Level 1 Certification, Avigilon Level 2 Certification or upon hire agree to actively pursue
• Five years of related experience in the electronic service industry
• Understanding networking principles, fiber optic transmission methods, and knowledge of how to terminate fiber optics
• Extensive knowledge of computer operating systems and servers with complex integrated security systems
• Strong working knowledge of access control, CCTV and intrusion devices
• Understanding and experience working with low voltage electronics and control circuits
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Willingness to climb ladders, stand for long periods of time and carry at least 50 lbs.
• Experience in the electronic service industry as a Project Manager or in a leadership role preferred
• Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification preferred
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Security, Industrial Electronics or related field preferred
