Requirements:



  • An associate degree is preferred and/or Certified Payroll Professional Certification or Recertification. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 3 - 5 years of related payroll experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft (North America Payroll).
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance, FLSA compliance, state compliance, worldwide foreign payroll compliance, expats, inpats, secondment payrolls, equalization, benefits in kind, knowledge of Global Payroll compliances of Expat, Inpats, short-term and long-term assignments.
  • Working knowledge of payroll functions in the USA and Worldwide.
  • Familiarity with local statutory requirements, local labor law, federal statutory requirements, federal labor law, and worldwide laws.


Job Duties:



  • Process end-to-end U.S. payroll operations for regular payroll cycles, off-cycle payments, terminations, and final pay, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain and audit employee payroll records within payroll systems, including compensation changes, time and attendance data, paid leave, deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, direct deposits, address updates, transfers, exemptions, and employment status changes.
  • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data by analyzing timesheets, wage calculations, payroll registers, general ledger accounts, bank statements, and audit reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Administer payroll-related deductions and compliance activities, including taxes, benefits, 401(k) elections, charitable contributions, court-ordered garnishments, levies, and other employee withholding requirements.
  • Support payroll tax administration by assisting with federal and state tax filings, payroll tax deposits, tax research, year-end processing, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Manage employee payroll transactions and service requests, including new hire setup, payroll adjustments, retroactive pay increases, earnings statements, employment verifications, and payroll correspondence.
  • Perform payroll audits, testing, and post-payroll quality control activities to ensure data integrity, process accuracy, and compliance with internal controls and operational standards.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate employee and payroll data, resolve payroll-related issues, and support organizational payroll initiatives.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while supporting internal and external audits, process improvements, system enhancements, and special payroll projects.
  • Safeguard confidential employee information by maintaining the highest standards of data privacy, security, and professional discretion.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by Payroll leadership.
