Essential Job Functions



  • Plans, organizes, and leads the delivery of Life Enrichment programs aligned with Eskaton's WellPath Program, ensuring opportunities for resident engagement and well-being are available seven days a week.
  • Designs and facilitates programs that reflect each resident's preferences, abilities, and life story, adapting activities to support varying levels of physical, cognitive, and emotional function while promoting autonomy, joy, and connection.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of resident participation, engagement goals, and individualized approaches that support a person-directed experience and continuous program improvement.
  • Participates in care plan discussions, HUDDLEs, and resident care conferences as appropriate, offering insights from the Life Enrichment perspective to support holistic well-being and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Welcomes new residents by conducting Life Enrichment assessments and interviews, gathering personal stories, interests, and rhythms to inform WellPath engagement plans and ensure a warm, personalized start to community life.
  • Safely operates and maintains program and transportation equipment (e.g., community vehicle and technology systems) to support resident participation and enhance engagement experiences. Performs preventative maintenance and reports any issues promptly.
  • Utilizes technology and engagement software to enhance Life Enrichment programming, track participation, share communications, and strengthen connection between residents, families, and team members.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with community partners and volunteers to expand engagement opportunities and integrate intergenerational, cultural, and social resources into the WellPath Program.

  • Fully complies with all provisions in Eskaton's Corporate Compliance Policy and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Maintains attendance as outlined in Eskaton policy.
  • Follows required dress code and Eskaton's Community Appearance Standards. Maintains a professional image to the public and residents.
  • Works in accordance with established safety guidelines; uses proper body mechanics; follows safe work practices; wears appropriate safety gear.


Compensation

Starting pay ranges from $19.40 per hour - $24.44 per hour. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and market considerations may influence base pay.

Qualifications

Education
High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D.

Training and Experience
Previous experience working with the elderly in a recreational setting preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of Title XXII and OBRA preferred. Understands the aspects of leading an activity.

Light Work



Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.



The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen. All new hires are required to sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment.
