Responsibilities:

As a Supervisor, Central Supply, you will lead the daily operations of the Central Supply department, ensuring the efficient management of inventory, resources, and logistics services that support exceptional patient care. In this role, you will oversee staff performance, optimize supply chain processes, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence while fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Central Supply staff with a focus on talent development, training, teamwork, engagement, and job satisfaction; provide input for performance evaluations, development planning, and employee relations activities.

  • Manage staff scheduling, assignments, and daily workflows to ensure all operational requirements are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Oversee inventory receipt, put-away processes, cycle counts, physical inventories, and expiration date monitoring to maintain inventory accuracy and availability.

  • Supervise par inventory replenishment, supply organization, shelving, patient charging activities, returns processing, and communication regarding back-orders and product substitutions.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational performance, and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.

  • Support the development and implementation of inventory management and replenishment strategies that optimize labor resources, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.

  • Leverage Lawson and other available technologies to improve inventory control, reporting capabilities, workflow efficiency, and customer service outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State healthcare regulations, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and organizational policies and procedures.

  • Support patient charge capture processes, formulary compliance, product conversions, recalls, and emergency preparedness initiatives, including participation in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) activities.

  • Assist with departmental budget planning, evaluate supply utilization trends, recommend process improvements, and maintain strong partnerships with clinical departments and key stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and operational performance.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or related operations required.
