Job Description

Foundry Operator (Furnace Helper)

Location: Mentor, Ohio
Schedule: Full-Time | 5th Shift (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
Status: Hourly

Join Our Team as a 5th Shift Foundry Operator

We are seeking a motivated and dependable 5th Shift Foundry Operator (Furnace Helper) to join our team in Mentor, OH. This role is critical to supporting vacuum casting operations and maintaining high-quality production standards in a fast-paced foundry environment.

This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals looking to build skills in advanced casting processes and grow into a Vacuum Casting Technician role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train to perform operations of a Vacuum Casting Technician
  • Operate vacuum furnaces including equiax, directional solidification (D.S.), and single crystal furnaces
  • Accurately record all required production and process data
  • Ram crucibles and perform furnace setup and changeovers (including D.S. susceptors, coils, and melt coils)
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering procedures, and special lot instructions
  • Meet established production and efficiency standards
  • Maintain strong housekeeping standards within the foundry department
  • Ensure all required documentation is organized and completed accurately
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of production processes and materials
  • Organize work to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Previous manufacturing or foundry experience preferred
  • Experience working with industrial equipment or high-temperature processes is a plus

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (experience may substitute)
