This role is critical to supporting vacuum casting operations and maintaining high-quality production standards in a fast-paced foundry environment. This is a hands-on opportunity for individuals looking to build skills in advanced casting processes and grow into a Vacuum Casting Technician role. Key Responsibilities Train to perform operations of a Vacuum Casting Technician Operate vacuum furnaces including equiax, directional solidification (D.S.), and single crystal furnaces Accurately record all required production and process data Ram crucibles and perform furnace setup and changeovers (including D.S. susceptors, coils, and melt coils) Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), engineering procedures, and special lot instructions Meet established production and efficiency standards Maintain strong housekeeping standards within the foundry department Ensure all required documentation is organized and completed accurately Develop and maintain knowledge of production processes and materials Organize work to ensure smooth and efficient operations Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications Experience: Previous manufacturing or foundry experience preferred Experience working with industrial equipment or high-temperature processes is a plus Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred (experience may substitute) Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to meet deadlines and production goals Proven reliability with a strong attendance record Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills Strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced production environment Ability to follow detailed processes and technical instructions Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work in a high-activity, high-temperature foundry environment Ability to manage tight production deadlines and high workloads Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks as required Why Join Us Consistent 5th shift schedule with full-time hours Opportunity to grow into a skilled Vacuum Casting Technician role Hands-on experience in advanced foundry operations Team-focused environment emphasizing safety, quality, and performance Keywords 5th Shift Foundry Operator, Foundry Furnace Helper, Vacuum Casting Operator, Furnace Operator, Manufacturing Operator, Casting Technician, Industrial Furnace Jobs, Metal Casting, Foundry Jobs Ohio, Night Shift Manufacturing All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
