POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pricing Manager I is responsible for leading the pricing for product lines typically at a single site within a Division. This role balances data-driven decision-making, and strong execution skills to drive pricing adoption and implementation. Partners with multiple functions and key stakeholders to position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product / sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements. Oversee the implementation of pricing proposals across product lines at product lines typically at a single site within a division.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develops comprehensive and complex pricing/bid guidelines for product lines at a single site within a division
    1. Leads a multi-generational pricing roadmap development process in line with strategic/operating plans - typically within a single site within a division
    2. Ensures list prices and the utilization is on target to achieve revenue and margin goals
    3. Responsible for pricing of new product developments throughout all stage gates in Winovation
    4. Directs the development and analysis of pricing models and projections

  1. Aligns segmentation and variance-based analysis across a single site within a division
    1. Defines floor and ceiling prices
    2. Establishes guidelines for delegation of pricing authority
    3. Manages adherence of pricing guidelines
    4. Selects, develops and evaluates Direct Reports to ensure efficient operation of the function
  2. Market Analysis
    1. Conducts regular reviews of price variance charts and metrics including product and customers
    2. Understands value position of products against competition, competing alternatives and internal product offering
    3. Monitors the ongoing business environment to ensure competitive pricing

  3. May develop customer contracts for proposals, quotes, and existing business
    1. Responsible for ensuring the strategic pricing improvement board is up to date
    2. Provides management with monthly metrics (win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.)
    3. Understands, collaborate, and creates value propositions (value pricing) to maximize margin/revenue
    4. Ensures accuracy of Parker's master catalogue
    5. Drives GM expansion and contributes to growth goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four-year degree, preferably in Business Discipline OR Engineering, Engineering Technology. MBA desired.

  • Minimum six (6) years Pricing experience required or similar commercial experience in related industry preferred

  • Minimum four (4) years of managerial / leadership experience managing or overseeing the Pricing discipline

  • Demonstrated experience owning Pricing for Product lifecycle from design concept

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving /resolution skills and a team focus

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $111450 to $195150 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
