Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Perform in-house calibrations as required.

  • Locate instruments due for calibration and coordinate sending out for third party calibrations.

  • Maintains calibration data for QC Laboratory equipment using computerized programs consisting of work order generation, work order completion, and filing (electronic and hard copy records).

  • Maintains calibration schedules and assures the accuracy of all in-house standards used to complete QC Laboratory instrument calibration.

  • Coordinates and schedules instrument repair, calibration, qualification and/or replacement within DPT and external contractors for QC Laboratory equipment.

  • Creates and routes purchase orders for calibration and repair services.

  • Supports activities such as training, change controls and SOP creation/revision for equipment installations and qualifications.

  • Performs minor repairs and troubleshooting of QC Laboratory equipment.

  • Knowledge of instrumentation software including Empower CDS is desired.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by QC management.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four year-college or university preferred, or Minimum of 7 years of experience with analytical equipment experience within a pharmaceutical and/or cGMP environment is required.

  • Requires skills necessary to analyze and interpret data.

  • Requires thoroughness and a practical application of chemical knowledge.
