Work Schedule
8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.
Primary Purpose of Position
Shipping and receiving clerks are responsible for the proper handling and routing of inbound and outbound freight and merchandise. Responsible for the timely submission of accurate shipping/receiving documents.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency.

Essential Job Duties

  • Deliver vendor orders as applicable to campus departments
  • Pick up and deliver surplus property as required by campus end-using departments
  • Organize and stage surplus property in the warehouse to maintain a neat work environment
  • Update systems and maintain records as required and directed by management
  • Assist in the annual verification of fixed asset inventories completed by campus departments
  • Interact with vendors and customers as required to answer questions and provide a high level of customer service

  • Experience delivering vendor orders and transporting materials to multiple locations.
  • Ability to pick up, move, and deliver surplus property safely; ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items.
  • Experience organizing and staging items in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience assisting with inventories or asset verification and ability to maintain accurate records and update systems as needed; Microsoft and Google Suite experience; Intermediate Skills preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and campus departments.
