Accounting firms are under pressure to modernize the way they manage tax workflows, client collaboration, and document-intensive processes. In this role, you'll help firms solve those challenges by bringing them innovative SafeSend and SurePrep solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and create a better client experience. As a Senior Sales Executive, you'll own the full sales cycle - from creating new opportunities to closing complex deals - while positioning solutions that deliver measurable value to accounting professionals.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed quota for SafeSend and SurePrep solutions.

  • Prospect, identify, and qualify new business opportunities through targeted outreach, networking, lead generation, and partnership development.

  • Conduct consultative discovery to understand accounting firm workflows, tax preparation challenges, business processes, and operational pain points.

  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that clearly articulate the value of SafeSend and SurePrep solutions.

  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, guiding prospects through complex sales cycles and addressing objections.

  • Negotiate and close sales agreements while maintaining a strong pipeline, accurate CRM records, and clear reporting on sales activity and progress.

  • Partner with marketing and product teams by sharing market insights, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and opportunities to strengthen go-to-market efforts.

About You

  • 5+ years of successful software sales experience, preferably in B2B, SaaS, professional services, tax, accounting, or related environments.

  • Strong understanding of accounting firm business processes, operational challenges, and tax workflow needs.

  • Proven ability to create new opportunities, manage complex sales cycles, influence decision-makers, and build long-term client relationships.

  • Skilled in consultative selling, customer needs assessments, objection handling, and value-based solution positioning.

  • Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging executive-level stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, sales technology, and web-based software solutions.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a passion for solving client problems, delivering value, and achieving ambitious sales goals.

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $189,000 USD - $351,000 USD. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. Target total cash compensation ranges are inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
