Description
Temple University's Athletics Department is searching for an Assistant Women's Rowing Coach. Become a part of the Temple family and you will have access to the following:
Position Summary: Reporting to the Head Women's Rowing Coach, the Assistant Coach assists in developing a Division I competitive Women's Rowing program. The primary function of the Assistant Coach will be to teach student-athletes the sport of Women's Rowing. The Assistant Coach will assist in working on the fundamentals of the sport, teaching the sport during scheduled practices and meetings, and preparing for competitions. The Assistant Women's Rowing Coach supports the Head Coach by providing leadership and integrity to the program set forth by the Head Coach which includes, but is not limited to: creating, planning, organizing, teaching, motivating, communicating and controlling aspects relative to recruiting, practices, competitions, student-athletes, and related booster clubs. The Assistant Women's Rowing Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner representative of the University, the Department and the sport both on and off the field of competition. The Assistant Women's Rowing Coach is expected to be knowledgeable about and comply with NCAA regulatory policy governing their sport as well as NCAA and conference policies governing recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. Evidence of the Assistant Women's Rowing Coach's knowledge of rules and policy will be in the Departmental expectation that the Assistant Women's Rowing Coach successfully complete their annual NCAA compliance meeting. The Assistant Women's Rowing Coach performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and at least two years of previous rowing experience as a collegiate coach and/or collegiate student-athlete.
