Overview

Job Summary

Provides data modeling using AWS and Power BI for analytics and buisiness intelligence insights to enable functional leadership team to make informed strategic decisions that drive buisiness results. The role will collaborate with product and project owners and act as a consultant with a focus on data management and reporting. The Data Analyst will work closely with Data Engineers, Operations Leadership, and product owners to create fast, efficient, and scalaable data intelligence solutions for Werfen employees.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Integrate and automate the current data management systems to provide well organized and comprehesive buisiness management tools.
  • Work with the team and buisiness stakeholders to identify requirements, define models, and kickstart new analytics initiatives.
  • Leverage automation to increase efficiencies and reduce work load using SQL, DBT, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerShell, and/or Python.
  • With the stakeholders needs in mind, leverages creative solutions, analytics, and visualization/reporting techiniques to enhance knowledge and drive actionable insights.
  • Experience optimizing query performance for large-scale data products (CTEs, partitioning, incremental models, etc.)
  • Indentifies trends, risks, and opportunities for the buisiness that could impact business objectives, strategy and tactics. When asked, presents insight to functional management team to further understanding of operating results through timely and accurate analysis.
  • Reponsible for working with area leaders to identify continuous improvement projects related to safety, quality, and/or delivery metrics.
  • Work with and integrate information from cloud based data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, etc).
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Critical ability to build relationships based in trust within the organization to respond to the internal customer needs while taking into consideration the overall corporate strategy.

  • Works collaboratively within the Manufacturing groups and has opportunities to participate in cross-functional interactions with other groups (Analytical/HW/SW/Systems R&D, Manufacturing, Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Quality and Regulatory Affairs) to help achieve company goals.
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in Quality, Operations, Finance, or Business Analysis function required.
  • Experience in the Medical Device/IVD industry preferred.
  • Advanced skills with SQL, MS Excel, and Python required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, databases, and web-based applications.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau required.
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems required.
  • Microsoft Azure, Agile, GIT software versioning, and SAP experience preferred.

Management has the discretion of substituting relevant work experience for a degree and/or making exceptions to the years of experience requirement.

Travel requirements: Less than 5 percent

The annual base salary range for this role is currently $85,000.00 range to $110,000.00. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.

This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.
