Job Description The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Senior Vice President, System Specialist and App Delivery in Jersey City, NJ, to contribute to the achievement of Software Configuration/Release Management objectives. Define Software Configuration/Release Management plans and scripts/programs for the most complex configurations. Standardize the use of tools, technology and/or business expertise in relationship to Software Configuration/Release Management approaches. Responsible for defining the installation and upgrade strategy for vendor products and identifying obstacles in making vendor software products fully operational within BNY environment. Assist in defining standards, processes, and procedures for the use of technology within the department. Define and approve the process for metrics collection and analysis across all applications. Analyze data and produce progress reports for strategic projects. Make recommendations to improve efficiencies and outcomes. Interact directly with clients and senior management regarding project activities, production stability, SLAs, and current status of upgrades on the application (vendor/in-house). Review customizations made to core product to ensure impact on future portability. Working in financial services, banking, or capital markets. Understanding current banking regulations, applications, data governance, and data management. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Technology (Any) or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Configuring, customizing, troubleshooting and onboarding applications using ASG custom scanners available for different technologies, and creating the stitch between the source to target object using the stitching feature in ASG Rochade, and Becubic by studying the applications architecture and framework; Utilizing DQ and Collibra to identify the key controls that exist along data flows that maintain the data integrity, and facilitating the control framework assessments that ensure known gaps or issues are documented; Utilizing programming languages and tools including ETL (Informatica Power Center), Informatica Metadata Manage Oracle DB, SQL Server, SQL, PL SQL, DB2, Z/OS in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Endeavor, GitLab and UNIX scripting; Creating report structures and generating regulatory reports using Cognos or Tableau; and Creating, reviewing, and tracking tickets and incidents in JIRA and ServiceNow through closure. One (1) year of experience must include: Utilizing Solidatus, scanning, and establishing connection to application's technologies using connectors available for different technologies, exporting and importing functionality to import technical metadata into Solidatus framework and building custom data models for representing business lineage suitable for the bank's technical lineage and enriching according to user needs, or banks policies, products, and concepts using various tags/properties. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $174,750.00 - $228,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
