The purpose of the maintenance supervisor is to direct and supervise a work force composed of Company employees and contract maintenance personnel in procedures and techniques of repairing, rebuilding and preventive maintenance of major mechanical equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise crafts in maintenance department in the performance of repairs and preventive maintenance for all mechanical equipment
  • Analyzes problems in malfunctioning units in Plant
  • Establishes standard maintenance procedures
  • Requests major repair parts, materials and equipment for normal repairing and turnaround jobs
  • Makes recommendations and executes approved modifications to equipment
  • Organizes effective workforce for twenty-four hours maintenance capability
  • Recommends necessary spare parts for major equipment in the Plant
  • Plans and carries out preventive maintenance and repair maintenance work
  • Contacts vendors to provide technical assistance required to obtain comparable bids on purchases of installation of equipment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Five years' experience in maintenance or operations at a process plant. Hands on experience preferred.
