Hourly Pay Range:

$24.86 - $37.29 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

* Position: Patient Access Supervisor

* Location: Swedish, Chicago

* Full time

* Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

* Required Travel: no

What you will do:

  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Patient Access Representatives, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee the patient registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorization processes, ensuring that they are conducted efficiently and accurately.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in patient information and financial data.
  • Foster a culture of patient-centered care within the department, ensuring patients have a positive experience during the registration and admission process.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to keep them updated on industry trends and regulations.
  • Ensure that the department complies with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and state specific guidelines.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other hospital departments, such as finance, admissions, and medical records, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient access and revenue cycle management.
  • Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance, including key performance indicators, to the Senior Managers
  • Manage Timecards
  • Employee Management (hiring/discipline/evaluations)
  • Scheduling the team

What you will need:

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience:3 Years Experience in patient access, registration, or related roles, with demonstrated
    leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in healthcare information systems and electronic health records
    (EHR) software.
