Qualifications EDUCATION High school diploma required and must be currently enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited College of Pharmacy program or pre-pharmacy program. EXPERIENCE Pharmacy or healthcare-related experience preferred but not required. LICENSURE Must be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Intern or pharmacy technician in the state of employment as outlined by the Dept. of Consumer Protection (CT) or Dept. of Health (RI). SPECIAL SKILLS Proficiency in mathematical calculations; accuracy; problem solving; attention to detail; knowledge of computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets; ability to learn quickly in a fast -paced environment; ability to learn or perform pharmaceutical compounding, repackaging and labeling including manipulation of raw drug products using appropriate technique: ability to work with computer and technology equipment including the ability to perform basic troubleshooting functions. Must be able to prioritize competing demands, work ndependently, and show flexibility and teamwork. Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. PHYSICAL DEMAND Must be available to work rotating shifts and weekends. Must be flexible with scheduling, working evening, holiday, and weekend shifts as needs demand. Employee is considered essential personnel and is expected to work during inclement weather (e.g. blizzards, hurricanes). During to course or daily tasks, the employee is required to walk, sit, stand and crouch. The employee must regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionaly lift/move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The work environment noise level is moderate.
