Compensation: $19.50/hr.
Schedule: 980 Reg - 2 nd shift
About the Opportunity:
  • The Tester's primary function is to test potted modules with various electro-optical test equipment, evaluate, disposition, and rework image intensifier tubes to ensure that product meets all specifications so that only quality product moves forward.
  • The Tester will adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform a variety of processes on substrates or components to achieve quality and yield goals set by their department.

What You'll Do:
  • Produce a quality product that meets the customer specifications and maintains sufficient inventory to satisfy internal and external customers.
  • Perform inspection and tests on parts and assemblies per written specifications.
  • Use electrical or mechanical equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, current meters, voltage meters, dial calipers and indicators, height gauges, micrometers, and microscopes.
  • Complete and maintain accurate test data and records.
  • Interface with production and engineering teams.
  • Creation and maintenance of work instructions, visual aids, and standard work documents.
  • Use Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience with all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to job.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Associate Degree.
  • The Tester must be able to multitask in a manufacturing environment and may be needed to perform specialized tests and perform rework procedures as directed by supervision.
  • Must maintain adequate throughput with high levels of quality while working in a dark room environment.
  • Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be able to work alone and with others in a dark room environment
  • Ability to clearly read, write, and understand English.
  • Working knowledge of electrical or mechanical measuring equipment and quality control terminology.
  • Related manufacturing work experience (including soldering and high-volume production) Soldering certification.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to become familiar with Six Sigma problem solving tools, 5S and Lean methodologies.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Teamwork oriented.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision if necessary.
  • Ability to make quality decisions quickly.
  • Patience.
  • Manual Dexterity.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Good (correctable) eyesight (or ability to discern visually).

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
