The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, located on the George H. Cook Campus, is one of the largest schools of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We pursue excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in areas of study that address the biological spectrum from molecules to ecosystems. Our emphasis is on both the fundamental sciences and the social and human dimensions. We offer 21 undergraduate majors, including plant and animal sciences, microbiology, biotechnology, agriculture and food systems, landscape architecture, food and nutritional sciences, ecology and evolution, marine science and oceanography, environmental sciences and meteorology, human ecology, entomology, and environmental economics.
In addition to instruction in the classroom, field, and laboratory, our students have opportunities for experiential learning on and off campus, including a growing emphasis on international experiences through short- and long-term study abroad. Students also have access to a robust program of applied research and outreach hosted by the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station laboratories, farms, business incubators, and marine stations throughout the state. |

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. The Program Coordinator II works under the direction from the Department Chair, Graduate Program Director, Undergraduate Program Director, and Dietetics Program Director, exercising sound judgment in managing workflows, prioritizing responsibilities, and resolving complex operational issues within established guidelines.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Administers and oversees academic and operational functions supporting undergraduate and graduate academic programs.
- Manages program-related processes, including the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and oversight of records, reports, statistics, and academic documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective program delivery.
- Performs professional-level work requiring knowledge of academic program administration, coordination, and office management practices, including the application of institutional policies, procedures, and systems.
- Serves as a key resource in supporting and administering program operations and ensuring efficient execution and continuous improvement of academic processes.
- Evaluates program processes and operational effectiveness.
- Develops recommendations to improve efficiency, service delivery, and student experience. Contributes to program planning efforts, including development of operational timelines, program calendars, and process enhancements aligned with departmental goals.
- Monitors best practices and trends in academic program administration to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintains and manages the department's webpage and social media platforms to support communication, outreach, and program visibility.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in program coordination, academic administration, or a related field..
- Experience in higher education or academic program administration.
- Knowledge of course scheduling, registration, and admissions processes.
- Familiarity with systems such as CourseAtlas, REGIS, Infosilem, and other institutional platforms.
- Experience evaluating program effectiveness and supporting program improvement initiatives.
