Title: Spanish Medical Interpreter Location: Remote (Must Reside in Colorado) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Range: $24-$36/hour Environment: Remote \| Healthcare \| Patient-Facing Communication Why Join Us? What This Role Does This is a language interpretation + patient advocacy + healthcare communication role where you will support patients, families, and care teams by facilitating clear and accurate communication. You'll act as a critical link to ensure patients fully understand their care, treatment plans, and medical information. Key Responsibilities * Serve as a conduit between patients/guests and healthcare professionals in the patient's preferred language * Provide accurate interpretation of medical terminology, including anatomy, diagnoses, prescriptions, and procedures * Support communication for non-English speaking, deaf, or hard-of-hearing individuals * Maintain strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality policies (HIPAA compliance) * Assist with translation of written medical documentation as needed * Ensure clear, culturally competent communication across all interactions * Apply critical thinking and sound judgment in real-time interpretation scenarios * Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand healthcare environment Must-Have Qualifications Fluency in Spanish and English (required) Proven experience in medical interpretation or healthcare-related translation Strong understanding of medical terminology Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Excellent listening, communication, and comprehension skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Top Skills & Competencies * Strong verbal interpretation and active listening skills * Ability to deliver accurate, real-time translations under pressure * High level of cultural sensitivity and empathy * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medical communication * Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities * Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced healthcare setting #westpriority26 Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, CO.
