Position Summary Information
| Primary Purpose |
The
SOECS Recruiting Ambassador serves as a representative of the School of Engineering and Computer Science, supporting new student recruitment and outreach efforts. Ambassadors engage prospective students and families, share authentic student experiences, and promote
SOECS academic programs through events, communications, and peer-to-peer interaction.

| Essential Functions |
- Represent SOECS at recruitment events including tours, open houses, information sessions, and college fairs.
- Engage prospective students and families by sharing academic experiences and program knowledge.
- Support recruitment and yield efforts through admitted student events and follow-up activities.
- Assist with planning, setup, and execution of outreach and recruitment events.
- Participate in panels, presentations, and classroom visits.
- Contribute to special programs such as summer camps and preview events.
- Serve as a positive and professional representative of SOECS.
- Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with ambassadors and staff to ensure consistent messaging.
- Assist with social media, blogs, and student-focused marketing content.

- Current or recent SOECS student (undergraduate or graduate).
- Availability for evenings and weekends.

Requires extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using a computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Valid driver's license required. Incumbent must also be able to meet the University's fleet rules and be eligible to drive for University business. The University and its insurance carrier reserve the right to exclude applicants based on their driving record.

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour. (We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.) |
